Need a job description revision?
When was the last time your company revised their written job descriptions?
Job Analysis is an observational recording (visual, photographic &/or video), written log, and employee interview, of how an employee performs the specific duties of their job. Essential functions and critical demands, potential risk factors, speed and physical requirements of the job are analyzed. Force, height of workstation, reach distance, frequency, and amount(s) of weight lifted, pushed, pulled, location of equipment, posture, and repetitions of work tasks are some of the components documented.
This information is collected and a formal job description is written.
Any improper techniques or work station improvements that can be made to decrease/increase injury may be noted.
Workers repetitively injured at workstation?
A Job Analysis is reviewed, and the workers are observed. Written recommendations are made regarding the particular job performed and possible improvements by worker or work station will be made. Recommendations designed to decrease worker fatigue, increase worker ergonomics, and improve safety, all of which decrease the risk of injury for the employee.
